Probably the simplest version of the celebrated Snake. Seeing is believing.

Everyone in the whole world has played Snake at some time, and probably on a mobile phone (long before smartphones brought us colours and graphics). This game followed the same basic rules of game development as the original pioneers in the field: simple but effective, highly addictive and a lot of fun. If you have a longing for those old days, then you should take a look at this program, called Ossisnake 1.15. As you may have gathered by now, Ossisnake 1.15 is probably the most simplistic, basic, stark, simple and crappy version of the famous Snake, even more elementary than the version for MSDOS!

In Ossisnake 1.15 you follow the same basic rules and gameplay as the classic Snake. As you slowly move around the screen (your movements controlled by the arrow keys on your keyboard) you will see a fruit appear, which you have to try and eat. If you are successful then you grow slightly bigger, and your movements become slightly faster. The more fruit you eat the larger you get and the faster you move. The game ends if you touch any part of yourself (usually because you have become to big to fit on the screen and have left yourself nowhere to go!).

In Ossisnake 1.15 you can configure the speed changes, the difficulty and the number of fruit available. With Ossisnake 1.15 seeing is believing. And all this for free!
